Secrets On Aventine *****

The Aventine hill is one of the secret part of Rome, a beautiful site with some of the most important convents and religious orders of the city. Here you can discover the secret places where Saints, Popes and Artists stayed, prayed and worked.

Extraordinary events can be discovered in an itinerary of art and faith, between miracles, holiness and creative genius. Stories of Popes (Celestine I, Honorius III, Pope Pius V, Clement IX, Benedict XIII, Pius IX and John Paul II), of early Saints of the Eastern and Western Church (Alessio, Bonifacio, Sabina, Serapia and Adalbert) and stories of artists (Arnolfo Di Cambio, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Giacomo di Lorenzo, della famiglia Cosma, Giovan Battista Piranesi), told with passion by our art historians. At the end of a journey full of discoveries, one of the most beautiful private terraces of the city, the Garden of the Belvedere of St. Alexis, welcomes visitors for an exclusive overlooking the city at sunset.
