The early Christian era. San Clemente, Santi Quattro Coronati (Four Crowned Saints) with the Oratory of San Silvestro and Santo Stefano Rotondo

The Caelian hill hides some of the most ancient Christian churches, dedicated to the early martyrs. Unique is the Basilica of San Clemente, with three levels of buildings (two churches and a Mitreo) perfectly preserved.

The tour continues visiting Santo Stefano Rotondo, the church of the fifth century, with a very special plan, and with the church of Santi Quattro Coronati, where the story of the conversion to Christianity of the Emperor Constantine is illustrated as in a comics.
